Silver Saturday

Jasmine had the wonderful opportunity of going out to Silver Buckle on Saturday.  She was so excited all week, that she could hardly stand it.  We went shopping on friday night to get her boots, and she could hardly sleep that night.  She had asked one of her most favorite people, Papa Bruce (my dad) to be the one to take her out there (since Bryan and I were working).  He was super excited as well.  She was up super early on saturday, carefully picking out her outfit. She decided to wear skinny jeans, a longsleeve shirt that says 'love, love, love, love' on the front, and her hoodie with a faux fur collar. She felt the outfit would go well with her new fancy cowgirl boots. When she got there, she got to meet the other kiddos, and all of the staff members. Then they went to get their horses. Jasmine was initially going to have Nugget, a 27 year old horse, that apparently was being very cranky, and didnt want to participate that day. So,  Jasmine was paired with Domingo, a huge horse, over 14 hands tall. She thought it was so cool. He was very gentle and calm. Jasmine groomed him, and took him for a long walk, and led him through an obstacle course. She kept rubbing his head on her, and lovin on her. Jasmine said that even though he was so big, she didnt feel scared or nerves around him. She felt safe and calm. She had so much fun, and even was given a cute cowgirl hat and bandana! She wishes she could go everyday.

Every month we  get an update from the teacher about how things are going at school, grades on tests, if there is anything we need to work on at home. So I just got an update on Monday, and I am so proud of my Jazzy.  She is doing amazing at school. They are starting to learn multiplication and division. And the teacher says that she is amazed how quickly Jasmine is picking it up.  And she scored really high on all of her recent tests. She also said that Jasmine is a joy to have in class, and is sweet and caring to her classmates.  I was very happy to hear that.
