I am a 29 year old wife and mother. My daughter is a sexual assault/abuse survivor. I am on a mission to bring awareness to sexual assault/abuse. And give my daughter and the many children that are survivors, a voice. This blog tells Jasmine's story, follows her journey of healing, and my fight.

A little update
I heard this song the other day, and it made me tear up. Made me think of Jasmine.
Miss J was accepted into the Silver Buckle Ranch program! So we are just waiting to hear back from the coordinator to set up a time to go meet everyone and get her started. I am so excited for her. She is going to love working with the horses, and I know that it will be very theraputic for her. We have had a rough few weeks. Lots of triggers and brought up memories. We had a few days at the beginning of the week where she cried on and off for most of the day. Days like that just kill me. I feel so helpless. And I become full of rage directed at the offender. Hopefully she will be able to work through some of this with her new counselor. We bought her a special journal, so she can write down her thoughts and feelings.
On a happier note, Jasmine is doing amazing in school, she even gets to have a "job" at school helping with the T1 class. She is also doing very good with her voice/piano lessons.
